Alive Stillness 动静, 2024

Ceramic Sculpture & Experience Design

Space 1: 5*4*0.9 m

In today's society of increasing uncertainty, people are more inclined to stick to the rules. Through the interaction between ceramic production and destruction, this project guides the audience to face uncertainty and challenge themselves.

The project is divided into two parts: in Space 1, viewers appreciate the red ceramic works, feel the subtle changes, and witness the final unexpected results after firing; in Space 2, viewers can choose to smash the ceramic and experience the emotional impact of destruction. Through this process, the audience learns to accept uncertainty and realize inner growth through symbolic destruction and reconstruction.

    Life of Brioche 面包的一生, 2024

    Experience design & Multimedia installation
    Dimensions variable

This project creates an immersive installation composed of five sets of works that examine false relaxation in contemporary life shaped by constant distraction. Drawing on the concept of Profound Boredom, the audience is guided through five subtle sensory experiences inspired by the five stages of making brioche, encouraging actions that resist productivity and performance.

Designed for individuals experiencing stress and exhaustion from fast-paced living, the installation offers a momentary detachment from everyday rhythms, inviting reflection on deep relaxation and a renewed attentiveness to the subtleties of life.

      Dripping Function 落函数, 2024

      Moving Image
      64*112 cm Screen*3

This project uses the everyday act of showering as a metaphor, aligning its processes with the development of calculus to explore the fluid relationship between sensibility and rationality. Sensory elements such as water temperature, flow, and bodily perception coexist with underlying mathematical principles governing movement and change.

By visualizing abstract concepts from calculus through three staggered vertical screens, the work invites viewers to reflect on the rational structures embedded within ordinary sensory experiences, revealing the continuity between feeling and logic.

        Details of... 细节..., 2024

        Holography & Digital
        58*21*21 cm

This project combines miniature theater and holographic projection to tell the story of a virtual character, Oxygen Man, who navigates a winter evening in New York City—from his home to the subway, a late-night meal, and onward through Manhattan. Inspired by the artist’s walks through the city, the work reflects New York as a compact yet layered environment shaped by cultural tension, harmony, and openness.

Through this fictional narrative, the project explores unacted desires, personal behavior, and social conventions. It invites viewers to imagine actions difficult to realize in everyday life, attend to small details, and reflect on individuality within the diversity of the urban experience.
